Welcome
Back! |
| I
know we're back and no, I didn't say that with enthusiasm. Oh no!
Another year at JHS is what comes to my mind! Then I stop to think we
have new teachers so maybe a new start. Um? Especially in
English if you have not yet met Mr. Olsen, I would suggest it. There
is never a dull moment. Tough when many of us met Mr. Olsen when all
we could do is think about how Mr. Marrs seemed to just up and go with no
"goodbye" and that fact led us to believe English was not going to be the
same. I have now realized even though I know everyone and doubted it
in the beginning, Mr. Olsen is going to be a good teacher (and I don't want
to say replacement teacher because let's face it, no one could replace the
famous Marrs!) but, maybe he'll turn out to be almost a match!
Welcome to JHS Mr. Olsen! |

Joppa hasn't had music in the school for years for some odd reason and this
year it was brought back! Did you think Joppa was going to have
all-stars? Yea, ok! Mr. Craft who juggles so much! Mr.
Craft directs choir, music for junior high, all elementary music, yearbook,
and distance learning foreign language. What a talent! I could
never keep up with it all. Welcome to JHS Mr. Craft! |

| I
have not yet met Mrs. Barnhill but I hear good things about her. For
those of you who don't know who I'm talking about, she is the new Special
Education Teacher that took over for Mrs. Davis. She appears to be
very nice and a well-mannered woman. Any time I pass her in the hall
she has a big smile on her face, almost as if though she is happy to be
here! Soon Mrs. Barnhill, you will become tired of some of the spoiled
kids but I will admire you still if you can always bear a grin no matter
what happens. Welcome to JHS Mrs. Barnhill! |

| For
the rest of the staff that has returned, I know your feelings are almost the
same as the students. Why can't it still be summer? These
students are driving me nuts! Just kick back and relax because one
year has passed and this one has come. Soon it too will be gone with
nothing to lose. To the seventh graders, I say I am sorry for the next
five years you will either love or not. It is your decision to make
the most of it but remember, everyone goes through it. For the seniors
I say we're out of here soon! Just ride the year out! |
