Sadie Hawkins Dance

Students do "The Slide"

A Sadie Hawkins dance was held at Joppa High School on November 17.  This year’s host was the FFA (Future Farmers of America) club.  A Sadie Hawkins dance is a dance in which the women ask the men out on a date.  Also, as a part of the “Sadie Hawkins Tradition,” couples wear shirts which either match or compliment their date’s shirt.  The event was open for students of Joppa High School in grades 8 through 12.  The funds raised by the dance will be used for special activities hosted by the FFA.
