The Joppa
High School Art Guild
recently competed in the 34th installment of The Scholastic Art
Awards of Southern Illinois at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts at the
Mitchell Museum in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Following are the students
pictured from left to right and the awards they received: Paul Hicks-
Certificate of Merit, Meagan Copeland-Certificate of Merit, Jade Wolfe- Two
Certificates of Merit, Charles Dark- Two Silver Keys, Nick Anderson- Silver
Key, and Dustin Womack-Gold Key. Dustin Womack’s work proceeded to the
national competition in New York City. Sarah Wittig is the art teacher at
Joppa High School.
