IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Dear Parents and Students:
Stated below is an amendment
to the Joppa High School 2006-2007 student handbook. The purpose of the
handbook is to guide students in behavior that is conducive to a safe and
structured learning environment. It is the goal of Joppa High School to
provide the best education possible to our students, and it is our belief
that the rules outlined in the handbook help to do that. Thank you very
much for your continued support and cooperation.

Amendment to JHS Handbook 2006-2007:
Page 4 under the line, “All other absences will be
treated as unexcused,” the following amendment will be added:
After the 10th absence per semester, a student must
have required a doctor's excuse for each and every additional absence or
he/she will receive an unexcused absence. Work missed due to an unexcused
absence may not be made up. In addition, certain extra-curricular
privileges may be revoked.
